Discover Birth and Beyond Doula's Full package
Prenatal
The Full package includes prenatal education and support. Together, we will practice labouring positions, techniques, and learn what to expect during labor. We will put together a birth plan that will be provided to the midwife and/or obgyn who is involved with your care. Two appointments will be made to cover the included information and to teach support techniques. Your doula will also discuss the postpartum period and provide any education that you may need.
Labor
Your doula will be on call from 2 week before your due date until 2 weeks after your due date. Once labor has started your doula will meet you either at the hospital, at home, or at the birthing centre. Your doula will meet you wherever you have decided to give birth. During the labouring, your doula will provide you with support, as well as encourage your partner to also be involved in the support process. Your doula will stay with you throughout the entire labor.
Birth
Your doula will stay by your side during the birth of your infant. She will encourage you, take photo's if requested, and ensure that your birth plan continues to be followed. Your doula will stay with you for 3 hours after birth and will provide you with postpartum support.
Postpartum
Your doula will provide you with 8 hours of postpartum service. These 8 hours may be used in a variety of ways, which you will discuss with your doula. Some common postpartum support provided includes babysitting, overnight care, light house cleaning, cooking, and even walking your dog. Together, you and your doula will decide how to use your 8 hours.
